This Hog Slammer™ V Gate model features “V”-shaped doors that allow smaller hogs to more easily push their way into the trap. Assemble a pen using the Hog Slammer™ V Gate as the point of entry (materials for assembling pen not included). Hogs enter the pen through the adjustable doors. A trigger rod holds the doors open until the hogs knock over a bucket of bait inside the pen. Once the doors are shut, the trapped hogs cannot escape. Included is a bag of hog attractant.

Once a hog is captured, the doors allow additional hogs outside the pen to enter. The captured hogs act as live decoys to attract even more hogs to the pen. The Hog Slammer™ V Gate is easy to set up and features heavy duty 14 gauge steel construction and a dura paint finish.

I have both the straight hog slammer & V hog slammer gates. While I have caught hogs with both, the V gate has a design flaw that has cost me lost hogs. The grate at the bottom needs to extend completely across the bottom plus the bars on the V gate are further apart so small hogs escape. My camera documents this fact & I have never lost a catch with the straight saloon door gate. I've had to weld extra grate to the bars to correct this problem.
