WCS™ Maine Style Trap Setters (Pair) are specifically made for setting coilspring traps #1.65 and above (generally up to #4) for Victor, Bridger, and Duke traps. They will fit Minnesota Brand (MB) 550's. There is a slot cut in each of the metal plates on the end of the setter handles. The Maine Trap setters are used as a pair, one fitting on each trap lever on opposing sides of the trap. Center each trap lever within the slot and then draw the Maine setter handles together. This depresses each lever to a point where the jaws fall open, allowing you to set the trap. You can also hold the set trap in one hand utilizing the setter handles.
Please Note: These setters will not work on wire lever traps or any trap larger than #4, will not work on the MB 650 & 750. will not work on any Laminated or modified jaw traps, Will not work on the TS85 trap

Makes setting Bridget #3 easy however, after setting only 4 times bent the ears on a brand new #3- 4 coil Bridger !!! Compresses unevenly and offside ear way beyond the base of the trap and if not extremely careful will bend and damage the ear. Design needs to be improved to prevent this !

I had trouble setting coil spring traps with my hands I bought a set of setters that you push down on but after several attempts and lots of caught fingers while trying to set the pan I thought to my self there's got to be a better way and after lots of research I found these!

These setters allow you to have control of the trap. They take all of the work out of compressing the springs, not to mention the safety factor. No more straining your cookies to set coil spring traps!!!

I love these setters. My wife, who comes out on the line can use these and can set traps with ease. I'd recommend this product every time. I've used other setters and these by far are the best.
