WCS is pleased to offer the ARMOR-COATED WCS™ Tube Trap™. The Tube Trap is treated with an electro-plating process which is olive drab in color and is highly rust resistant. No need to dip, dye, or spray paint these traps. Just pull them out of the box and use them. Will last for years. This tunnel shaped trap is a very effective squirrel and rodent trap. Constructed of 21-gauge steel, the trap is 4.5 inches in diameter, 15 inches long, and is powered by a beefy double torsion spring. Used either baited or non-baited, the Tube Trap is a natural attractant to squirrels wanting to run through it or hide in it. Once the squirrel reaches the triggering pan in the middle of the trap, the double torsion spring triggers the strike bar. When a capture is made, the squirrel is generally hidden from public view. The WCS™ Rust Resistant Tube Trap comes with a built in safety latch to prevent the trap from prematurely firing while setting.

Product Features

  • Electro-plating, armor-coated
  • 21-gauge steel
  • 4.5" in diameter x 15" long
  • Built-in safety latch

IMPORTANTPlease stake down the trap to minimize possibility of theft by a larger animal, i.e., coyote.

Not sure what it takes to get squirrels to go in it. Have tried peanut butter and shelled peanuts. They walk right past it without paying it any attention. Have tried different locations. No luck. Do these traps work on squirrels? I cannot confirm that they do. Maybe someday.

For 5 years squirrels have DESTROYED my vegetable garden and fruit trees. I take NO pleasure in killing squirrels and I don't mind sharing but when they clean you out even before fruit and veggies are ripe they left me no choice. I found all other killing traps useless. I got two rust resistant tube traps left them baited and not engaged for two weeks to let the squirrels dine . The first day I baited and engaged the traps within 2 hours I found both traps with kills. Thinking I solved my problem I took the traps down then saw another squirrel roaming my backyard. Put the traps back up and the next morning 2 more kills. I will be leaving the traps out going forward. BTW, used a mixture of PB and squirrel bait that I bought along with traps and put the bait above the plate that engages the kill bar. Lastly all 4 kills were clean shots highly likely killing the squirrels instantly. Well worth the cost.

After paying $1,800 for electrical repairs on my truck I ordered this trap. Came within 4 days. Set it up and nailed first squirrel within hours. Looking forward to ridding my property of the rest of those critters. Already the cost of this trap is worth it. Make sure you watch the video on setting it. I had to watch it a couple of times. Guess I’m a slow learner but I got it down now. Look out varmits you’re days are numbered.

Deer and / or raccoons trigger my traps every single night requiring me to reset / re-bait them every single morning. Time consuming.

Works very effectively. Killed two of my pesky squirrels the first week I put it out so my bird feeders are safe again. It did catch a small opossum but didn’t dispatch it all the way. I wish it had a bait location on the tube. Placing the peanut butter above the pad as suggested doesn’t work in the Texas heat. It just melts down under the pad or off to the side.

Great trap, well made heavy duty construction. Couldn't be happier with this trap. Once trap is set, it means business. The WCS people and this trap are your greatest allies against those destructive squirrels. Love this trap and so will you!

Only thing to figure out is bait selection. I put it on a well used squirrel run and they went around it until the sunflower seeds lured them in. Population is now declining regularly.

Works on chipmunks, squirrels, and skunks

Easy to bait and set. The bait goes above the trigger plate, not on the plate. Will pretty much trap anything that can get inside the tube, so consider buying the restrictor inserts if you don’t want to catch skunks, possums, or the neighbor’s cat. This is definitely the device you want if you’re looking to put a whammy on the local squirrel population. This is the second WCS Tube Trap I’ve owned: the one I had 10-15 years ago was made of heavier gage steel, and this newer one is a bit more flexible. Not sure if that’s an advantage or disadvantage.

Hasn't caught a squirrel yet
Dave (Indiana) | June 1st, 2023
I've had the tube trap for about two weeks. I ordered the trap to get rid of the squirrels that have cost me about $900 is repairs for chewing on the wiring under my pickup. I've placed the baited trap in four different locations around my yard. So far, it hasn't caught any squirrels, but then, since the trap arrived, I haven't seen any squirrels. They must have been frightened and moved on to the neighbors' vehicles. The trap arrived promptly after ordering, is relatively easy to set, and seems to be well constructed.
