The Comstock Live Beaver/Otter/Bobcat Double-Door Cage Trap is one of the most versatile live traps on the market. It can operate on land, in water, or entirely submerged underwater. The Comstock Beaver/Otter/Bobcat Trap can be set in channels underwater and is fully effective when set both sideways or upside down because of the double spring-loaded doors. The wire trigger eliminates the possibilities of beavers "skipping" over a pan. The trap features a durable construction of 1.5" x 1.5" wire mesh with handles for convenience.
The Comstock beaver cage trap was originally designed for beaver, but is also successful for otter, bobcat, raccoon, fox, muskrat and turtles.

I use this device for the capture of beavers, armadillos and raccoons. It provides me with so many ways to get creative in my setting to stay ahead of the adaptive abilities of urban wildlife. This trap is a must have in any professional nuisance wildlife operators collection.

This trap is totally awesome - I've caught beavers, river otters, raccoons, woodchucks, red fox, and possum - the doors will close upside down, sideways or right side up. It don't matter they will shut! They call it a swim through trap -that is exactly what the beaver will do. I have two traps and will order more! There are videos on YouTube under Comstock Beaver Traps, check them out they work great!
