I have used the other similar size guillotine trap sold here and they work very well but with a problem...that rear locking mechanism gets rusted out quickly and is near impossible to open so I have to bait from the front. THIS one and that sliding back door is a great idea. I agree with another reviewer here...the wingnut could be a bit more heavy duty. Only major suggestion: A rear mounted bracket as at the front to stabilize and level the trap.

The trap itself is effective, and the guillotine front door works well. The removable back door is held in place by a wingnut, which can be loosened if the animal wiggles the trap around enough. I lost a skunk because of this, so now I secure the wingnut with duct tape to hold it in place.
