The Safeguard Model #53136 Professional Series Raccoon-sized Trap with Front Release features 1" x .5" wire mesh over the entire bottom and back of the trap and extends up each side 4", so the animal can't dig up the lawn or or pull large amounts of debris into the trap when captured. It has a reinforced triggering pan with a bevel on the backside for added strength and additional rings on the triggering rod to prevent it from being bent. The trap is also reinforced around the door area to prevent the sides of the trap from bending outward.

PROFESSIONAL SERIES FEATURES:

  • All traps made of Galfan™ wire as opposed to common galvanized wire for a higher corrosion resistance, resulting in a three-times longer life.
  • Internal bait tray travel stops.
  • Heavy duty bait tray to eliminate damage by trapped animals.
  • Additional operating rod support rings for superior durability.
  • 1/2" x 1" 14 gauge wire covering the entire floor of trap to protect turf and roof shingles.
  • Carrying handles and hand guard.
  • Trap door reinforced to provide maximum performance and superior animal retention.
  • Made in the USA and covered by a 1 year warranty against manufacturer's defects.
TIP: Bait placement should be all the way to the rear of the trap, beyond the triggering pan. DO NOT smear or place directly on the triggering pan.  You want the animal to pass over and onto the triggering pan with their focus and attention on the bait.
