The WCS™ Collapsible Turtle Trap is one of the most versatile and easy to use multiple catch turtle traps on the market today. Its collapsible design makes transportation and storage easy. When set up, the trap measures 24"W x 24"H x 48"L. Three D-Shaped hoops made of spring steel form the trap body and prevent it from rolling when placed in the water. The net mesh is 2" square, very durable and will provide years of service. Featuring a drawstring cleanout door, access to the entire trap chamber is unrestricted. The galvanized steel bait cage can be removed and quickly hung inside once filled with bait.
Bait can be any type of fish (preferably pan fish), beef liver, chicken necks, etc. Slightly tainted bait is better.

This trap works very well but unfortunately the directions that go with it are lacking some information that I would have liked to have known ahead of time. First thing that I learned is that you want the entire base of the trap in the water just make sure that it is not submerged. I was originally setting it with with the backend out of the water but with no success. Second I do not recommend you move the turtle very far while it's inside the trap. Learned that the hard way because while a turtle that I caught was trying to snap at me it actually snapped through some of the netting. Don't get me wrong though the trap definitely does a good job at catching and holding turtles. Normally I think they won't try to bite through the netting to get out the only seem to use their powerful jaws to either catch prey or as weapon against a potential threat. Again this trap is certainly great but I would keep these two points in mind when using it.
