The BAT CONE® Excluder is gray in color, approx. 6" in length, with four flexible tabs at one end to attach the excluder over the bats entry/exit point. The BAT CONE® Excluder can be attached using pushpins, staples, duct-tape, etc. Completely re-usable, the BAT CONE® Excluder is made of a durable polyethylene and will last for many years. For optimal results mount the BAT CONE® Excluder with a downward angle. At dawn or dusk, which is the best time to conduct a “bat watch”, observe points of entry / exit for bats in structure. Incoming /outgoing bat activity will assist in determining number of cones needed for installation (see DVD for more detailed information) For large bat colonies, use multiple cones for best results. Install cones at entry points, always at a downward angle; this is CRITICAL to seal all other entry / exit points before installing cones strategically to prevent bats from moving to other sections of structure. After bats leave structure to feed and you are certain they are all outside the structure, remove remaining cones and seal all holes. The innovative design of the BAT CONE® is ideal when a square shape is better suited to the entry port of a bat colony. The design includes a built-in solid flang with mounting holes allowing easy, fast installation of this sturdy bat removal system. It can also be used with the secondary flexible vinyl flange, making it effective for virtually any surface application. For best results with BAT CONE®, bend flanges slowly back and forth to prevent breakage.

Product Features

  • 6" long
  • Four flexible tabs to attach over entry/exit point
  • Made of polyethylene
  • Use at dawn or dusk

A Word of Caution: Please note that removing bats during their birthing cycles can result in the offspring becoming trapped inside the structure. Please contact your state wildlife agency or state health department for information regarding bat birthing cycles in your region.

Worked as Advertised
Johnie Brake | August 20th, 2022
I was somewhat skeptical but I was desperate. Local pest control would not touch my bat infestation due to the paperwork required because bats are a protected species. I placed the bat cones at three locations on my house eaves and gables and over a period of three days finally determined all the bats had left and had not been able to re-enter despite frantic early morning attempts. I then sealed up the previous entry points. The cones worked very well.

Fits the bill!

Had my contractor install it at the end of our ridge cap 40 ft up after we determined that's the exit point. Also used SS mesh. Saw a couple bats leave so I know it works!

Easy to install
Susan Longley | April 19th, 2021
I purchased this extruder to help us coax bats out of the eaves on our house and into a newly installed bat house. It was easy to install and fit nicely in the corner between our house and chimney. Fingers crossed that they like the new house when they can't get back in under the eaves.

I had a handyman install the Bat Excluder after the bats in my attic flew out for their evening insect feast. All were gone the following day. Excellent product.

This really works!
Kimberly | August 20th, 2020
I am just a single mom who is trying to remove bats. I set this up and insulated the area around it where I thought bats were coming in and going out. I put a security camera up and it showed one bat the first night leaving and never showed it returning, but since then no other bats have left and I know there are more than one. I know this works, but I think I must be missing another area where they are coming in. I called bat remover companies and they want anywhere from $500-$1,000 to remove them so I will keep trying to locate where they are coming in. I was very excited to see that it did work as intended and for the price, I would definitely recommend.

I installed the units a few days ago and so far have been working as hoped. I waited a few weeks before installing to make sure there were no new babies in the attic. So far, happy with the results.
