The Macabee Gopher Trap was devised on the practical principle that a pocket gopher pushes dirt in front of it while tunneling. Patented in 1900, this trap has come to be known as "Old Reliable" with professionals, farmers, and homeowners for over 100 years.

The Macabee gopher trap is manufactured from the finest quality high carbon spring steel. It can be set quickly and easily by hand, and can be placed using two different methods. A single trap can be placed down into a lateral tunnel, for captures when the gopher is exiting the tunnel. They can also be placed in pairs, back to back, by digging down to the main tunnel.

These traps are easy to set and very effective. I recommend pinning them in place with a large nail or spike as I had one gopher drag one off, never to be found again.
