The WCS™ Tube Trap™ is a very effective squirrel trap and has stood the test of time, now being on the market for over 20 years. Constructed of 21-gauge steel, this tunnel shaped trap is 4.5 inches in diameter, 15 inches long, and is powered by a beefy double torsion spring.
Used either baited or non-baited, the Tube Trap is a natural attractant to squirrels and other rodents wanting to run through it or hide in it. Once the squirrel reaches the triggering pan in the middle of the trap, and steps on it, the double torsion spring triggers the strike bar. When a capture is made, the squirrel is generally hidden from public view. There is a built in safety latch which prevents the trap from prematurely firing while setting.
IMPORTANT: Please stake down the trap to minimize possibility of theft by a larger animal, i.e., coyote.
Caution: The WCS™ Tube Trap is a lethal trap, use special care when and where setting.

Great trap, Killed 2 squirrels already! Just make sure you set the trigger loose enough.

This trap is VERY effective. The spring is so strong that I have to use my heel to set it and to open it to remove the carcasses. And perhaps Colorado squirrels aren't as curious as others, since I've had to tempt them with peanut butter smeared on the inside and birdseed on the outside to lure them there, but once they get inside, they are toast!

I have had this trap for three years. So far I have trapped 167 squirrels with it. I only use creamy peanut butter, the non organic cheap stuff. I bought the corrosion resistant ones and it has held up well. I do think you need to clean the trap regularly and rebaited it. I use rubbing alcohol to remove ant previous scents from the dearly departed ones. My only gripe is the effort it takes to set it. You must wear a glove on your pressure hand. I got my moneys worth and more. Not sure why others catch nothing.

This trap really gets them with the correct bait it seems to go on doing its job for a very long time. I did have to bend and tweak the trigger and safety to work properly and the trap is scary to set. Remember to never put any body parts in the way of getting hit by the kill bar. This trap works!!!

I haven't had a chance to use the trap yet. The squirrel I was trying to catch probably saw the trap, got scared, and moved out. However, I'm pleased with the trap. It's well made and easy to use. I'm sure the squirrel I was trying to catch or one of his relatives will be back. Then, I will get to test the trap.

Your trap works great! I bait it with peanut butter and the varmints can't resist. Highly recommended trap, high quality!

The first night I set the trap with walnuts and woke up to a possum! The next day the squirrels came but they were able to pick them without getting caught. Next I tried peanut butter and that was the trick! I have been catching at least 1 squirrel a day since. Some days I have not re-baited the trap and have still caught squirrels. The squirrels are intrigued with the small tunnel design. I love the heavy duty, high quality materials it is made out of. Combine that with how easy it is to set and also release the dead animal it is nearly a perfect trap. Highly recommend for anyone needing to rid their property of small game.

Set this up in 3 different locations that were highly trafficked by squirrels. I would watch them just go around it all the time. They didn't fall for any of the bait. Didn't want anything to do with this trap. Maybe it will work for you, but no squirrels have gone in after a few weeks. Oh well.
