blockages. The Defender helps prevent bird and squirrel entry into exhaust systems. Installation is simple by placing The
Defender directly over the existing external wall vent and securing it
with screws. The defender is easily removed and replaced for vent
cleaning and maintenance. Sizes: available with inner dimension of 6.5" wide, 8" wide and 11.5" wide. Made in the USA from zinc coated steel and
powder coated in white, tan and brown. 11.5" model only available in white.

The 11.5 is a solution for all builders grade, fresh air vents and kitchen hood or microwave exhaust outlets as the poly builders grade vent simply falls apart from oxidation and also works for structures in wind tunnel developments where the aluminum hood allows the flap to consistently tap tap tap
You simply install an 11.5 drop it down 1.5-2” and it cuts the wind off the flap

Appears to be good quality. I like that I can swing the cage out of the way to clean it. Easy to install. I would recommend.
