The constant exposure to different weather conditions, UV light, heat, and chemicals from furnace gases requires a material with high resilience. We found that the outdoor durability, UV and chemical resistance, and thermal stability of GE's GELOY CR7520 resin surpassed all alternatives. GELOY resin from GE gives the E-Cap a number of important attributes, including resistance, oxidative degradation, and an attractive glossy appearance. The E-Cap is a hemispherical plastic cover that can be easily installed over the open end of a high-efficiency gas furnace flue pipe. To ensure that our innovative product offers the highest level of weather resistance and durability, we chose GELOY CR7520 acrylic-styrene-acrylonitrile (ASA) resin from GE Advanced Materials instead of conventional PVC or acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) resin.
