The Safeguard Model 53130 Professional Cage Trap features 1" x .5" wire mesh over the entire floor and back of the trap and 3" up each side. This prevents animals from pulling up dirt and debris into the trap. The pan has a beveled back for added stength. This trap is excellent for raccoon, armadillo, feral cats, woodchuck (groundhog), and similarly sized animals.

TIP: Bait placement should be all the way to the rear of the trap, beyond the triggering pan. DO NOT smear or place directly on the triggering pan. You want the animal to pass over and onto the triggering pan with their focus and attention on the bait.
