The Flasher Woodpecker/Bird Deterrent is wind operated and it is best hung from the outside corner of buildings. At this location it can receive wind from 270 degrees, as well as increasing visibility to the woodpecker. If trees are present at these locations, move the flasher to a point that receives not only wind but is visible from the area that is receiving woodpecker damage. It is usually not necessary to put it directly at the point of activity, however try to keep it within 20 feet of the damage area. Comes complete with a wire arm for mounting with a drywall screw to the side of the structure.

5/5 Replacing one installed by previous Wildlife Company - at fraction of original cost!, 08/11/2020 Reviewer: We had a woodpecker issue a few year ago after moving into a new house & a couple of these were installed and solved the problem. After a really severe storm, one of them was damaged & the cost to have them come out to hang up a new one was over $100. Found these online & had it up myself in less than 15 minutes for a fraction of the price. |
1/5 Does Not hold up, 05/20/2020 Reviewer: Abbie Cheaply made with bad components. First strong wind storm and they all broke off and were laying in the yard |
