The Trappers Grip was designed to enable a safe, quick and easy method of compressing heavy trap springs, eliminating the need for the immense upper body and arm/hand grip strength required to compress these springs with previous compression methods.
It is designed for use with common corded/cordless drills, or in the event a drill is not available, the threaded shaft can also be rotated by hand, using the drive-end knurled knob to open or close the links.
The device has an integrated handle, which serves a multipurpose role. It provides a basic holding point for the device; it steadies the links and spring while the spring is being compressed; and keeps the users free hand away from the links and the spring itself while being compressed.
