Safeguard 18" x 5" x 5" cage trap with the Slide Open Release is great for squirrels of all types, chipmunks, weasel, rats, etc. Easy to set and bait. Bait this trap with peanuts, walnuts, peanut butter or your favorite professionally prepared bait. Lead squirrels into the trap by placing a couple of shelled peanuts in the entrance of the trap.

TIP: Bait placement should be all the way to the rear of the trap, beyond the triggering pan. DO NOT smear or place directly on the triggering pan. You want the animal to pass over and onto the triggering pan with their focus and attention on the bait.
