I had starlings nesting inside my kitchen range hood exhaust vent. Once I got rid of them and cleaned out the mess they left behind, the question was: how do I stop this from happening again? Thankfully, I came across this company and found this product and bought it without hesitation. It arrived quickly and was easy to install. The grates are too small for a bird to get in but clearly large enough to not restrict the air flow from exhaust fan. And it opens to allow easy access to the vent if ever needed. This was a no-brainer!

Great bird guard. We have an air duct cleaning business which includes dryer vent and exhaust vent cleaning. We use these 8" guard on hood vents and some commercial dryer vents. They install easily and can be opened without removing them to clean them out.
