This is the Cinch Mole Trap. Designed like its big brother Cinch for Gopher, this is an effective tool for handling moles or small gophers. Cinch Mole Traps are set directly in the moles tunnel system, back-to-back, so that a capture can be made regardless of the direction the mole is travelling. The Cinch Mole trap features smaller jaws and trigger than the regular Cinch trap for gophers and can be used in smaller sized gopher tunnels with excellent results. Made from durable galvanized steel.
CALIFORNIA CUSTOMERS: The Cinch Mole trap (vs the Gopher sized trap) has been found to be most effective on the sized gophers found in CA.

3/5 Small trap, 02/14/2020 Reviewer: Art Binder Trap seems like it would be the right trap to rid your yard of small moles. Problem is, I have had 3 tripped traps but not a single mole. Seems the small moles are able to get between the catcher and the trigger before it trips. The trigger shaft needs to be about an inch longer. I gave it a 3 star because it is a well built trap. As far as eliminating a small moles it deserves a one star. |
5/5 Recent mole trap purchase, 08/11/2019 Reviewer: Duane King Best mole trap on the market. Worth every cent! |
4/5 Cinch mole and small gopher trap, 08/21/2018 Reviewer: C Fleck Company: CHILI HILL MANDARINS This can be a higly effective trap for the smaller species of gophers in California. Unfortunately, it is not well designed as the catchment tangs create too small of a space and are too long, but that can be quickly remedied. Upon arrival, we bend the catchment tags out to a full "yoke", with an opening ~5cm. We also clip the tips off by about 5mm. We also bend the "G" shaped trip target out to ~3cm diameter. Spray painting helps skiw the inevitable rust that will develop, and we use a shot of red paint on both sides, for visibility in the weeds. These could and should easily be built from stainless components at a slightly higher cost. Once modified they are the best traps we have used! |
5/5 Definitely work!, 05/31/2018 Reviewer: Mike I've been using a few different traps to keep the gophers in check. What I really like about these is they go deep in the hole. You set them on the most sensitive position. I'd recommend the smaller mole and gopher version. By the way, I live in North Idaho. |
5/5 Best traps, 05/29/2018 Reviewer: Caroline As a woman with weak hands, these traps are very easy to set for me. They work great. Haven't done in a couple dozen gophers over the past couple of years. Won't use any other trap than these. |
5/5 My go-to trap, 06/20/2015 Reviewer: Steven Klein I do not know why there are no reviews on this trap. I have tried many types and I think the cinch trap is easiest to set and most effective. It does take some strong hands and fingers to set this trap so be aware of that. There are conditions that may call for a different trap but since I started using this, the others stay in the truck. I would estimate effectiveness at 80 to 90 percent. It is especially fun to catch 2 moles, one from each direction. Also there have been a couple instances that I caught a gopher instead of a mole. One caution: be sure it is a genuine Cinch trap and not a knock off! (long story) |
