The Simple Squirrel trap, as the name implies, is a simply effective design, with one interior spring-loaded door. Very easy to set, the Simple Squirrel Trap comes in three sizes:
4/5 Nice!, 07/27/2020 Reviewer: Gayl Clark This cage is great for chipmunks and we have caught 2 squirrels. It works great at catching animals but when you catch a squirrel the animal is upset and will growl and try to bite. There is no way to open the trap unless you push the trap door inwards and the animal then has to run over your hand. We had to make a heavy gauge hook out of wire so we could release the animals so that we didn't get bit. Otherwise the cage is made of really heavy duty wire and when set, it sets off easily to catch whatever kind of animal enters. |
5/5 High Quality, 07/06/2020 Reviewer: Gayl Clark My grandson and I have these trap set every day. We have caught 16 chipmunks so far! This is the best trap we have. Super easy to set and maintain. |
5/5 excellant trap, 05/30/2020 Reviewer: david shumaker Company: shumaker animal control I have been trapping for a living for 20 years. This is by far the best trap invented. I have about 50 of them and will be ordering more soon |
5/5 Simple Trap, 01/23/2020 Reviewer: DVD Company: Lakeshore Wildlife Simple; easy to use, affordable, my #1 trap for squirrels |
3/5 Owner, 09/09/2019 Reviewer: Ken McCaffery Jr Company: A-team Pest Prevention And Removal No lock, squirrels have pulled door open n have gotten out before I could get on site... |
5/5 Simple and effective, 02/16/2019 Reviewer: Scott Ursiny Company: Grand Wildlife Control An economical way to set more traps and cover more area. An awesome and effective trap for red squirrel, chipmunk, and weasels. Great for elusive rats that won't go near a traditional rat trap. Wire one to a drainage pipe or rafter where rats are running, bait and you have a rodent catching machine! Get some, you won't be disappointed. |
5/5 Great for the Money, 01/21/2019 Reviewer: Maynard Stanley Jr Company: Critter Catcher I catch reds and grays and weasels in these traps all the time. |
4/5 Simple, Light, Cheap, 03/14/2018 Reviewer: Chip McKnight A very simple effective trap that excels with Reds and Chipmunks. Grays in the 4x4 seem to tear things up a little. Trigger regularly disconnects from pan but simple reattach with needle nose pliers. 4/5 due to time it takes to bend them back into shape. |
5/5 Best bang and versatility for the buck, 05/10/2016 Reviewer: Tyler Butler I use these traps for gutters as well as privacy fence runs, and hard to reach areas in attics, just use my snake tongs and a little wire loop to place them. Have had great luck with the greys and even roof rats that avoided other traps. |
4/5 Great for the money, 07/30/2015 Reviewer: Dalton Stephenson These traps are well sized, simple to use, and will hold ground squirrels. The price is right so I order them a dozen at a time. The arent the most sturdy and can bend if you drop them off a roof or if a raccoon plays with it. That being said, I use them for ground squirrels where volume matters, and never have problems. Overall I highly recommend them when you need bulk traps. |
5/5 Gutter traps are the shiznit!, 02/23/2013 Reviewer: Kevin Cornwell If you don't have a few of the narrow simple traps, you're missing a great trapping opportunity! You know those grays that run the gutter under the plastic leaf guards? Install a few of these pointed toward the hole in the fascia, another near the gutter exit point, and reinstall the leaf guard. You'll have your squirrels by sunset. |
